Percy Jackson and the Olympians Books 1 & 2

The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians Book 1)
By: Rick Riordan

We all have a destiny.

We were put here on this Earth for a purpose. Now sometimes we might not know what that purpose is until it's staring us right in the face. Other times, there are prophecies that give you a heads up on what's going on. Other times, nada!

Percy Jackson has a purpose. He is meant to do great things. Or he is here to destroy the world.

And he's only 12 years old.

But see, Percy Jackson is not your average 12 year old. He has dyslexia, a lot of ADHD, and always seems to find himself in trouble. He has never met his father before, and doesn't really know what to make of himself.

Until his best friend turns out to be a Satyr who protects Half-Bloods and brings them to Camp where they will be safe from monsters. And these Monsters are straight out of the Greek Mythology. For you see, Half-Bloods are also called Demi-Gods: Half-Human, and Half-God. And in this case Percy is the Son of the Sea God...namely Poseidon.

And when you are a kid of One of the Big Three....well, let me tell you. It's not an easy ride.

Not when something very valuable has been stolen right out of Mount Olympus for starters.

Blame, hunting, killing, sword fighting, Lava-climbing-mountains, Furies, Hades, Battle just to name a few things that Percy Jackson and his new found Half-blood friends must go through to get Percy's name back in good with the gods before World War III appears and the Gods fight each other. Not very good for the Mortals on Earth.

Not good at all!

Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians Book 2)
By: Rick Riordan

I can't believe it! I just can't believe it.....The Gods of Olympus are true!!! The myths are true....they are alive!!!!

(Am I the only one excited about this?!?!)

Unfortunately I am. You see I am a mortal that is INTERESTED in the Myths of these Gods. I am not a Half-Blood, nor a monster (thank you very much), so I don't know the pain, the loneliness in life like most half-bloods do.

Like, for instance Percy Jackson.

He saved Olympus from going into World War III; he returned what was stolen and got his name in good with the Gods. And what does he get?

"We won't kill you today."!!!!!!!

But Percy is strong, and he is able to go through life with a happy smile on his face and ready to take on another quest if needed.

Yea right, and I'm the daughter of Artemis!!!!

Percy is back at Camp with his friends learning, training and figuring out what to do next. A friend has deceived him, and they must try and get the world back into order. Now another friend is in trouble and Percy must do whatever he can to make sure that his Friend gets back to Camp safely....which isn't going to be easy. For the Camp's shield that protects the half-bloods is dying.

So Percy has to go and save his friend, find something that will cure the protective shield at his camp and not get blasted to bits by monsters who want him dead.

Why?

Well you see, Percy Jackson is the Son of the Sea God.

No Pressure!
