Here at the Shelby Library we love to help out. Anything the public needs, we try our best to help them out. Now I'm not saying that we work miracles or anything, but if we can't find the answers we try to help you find someone who can!! Many of the times we would be getting patrons to come in that just needs to find a business. Whether it be the businesses phone number, fax number or just point to where the building is!! Many patrons heard a book on the radio and would love to read it, but just can't remember the title nor the author. But they remember the radio station!! We also get some people that come in and say I picked up this book not realizing it was part of the series. Do you know the titles of the others and do you have them? Or they saw a book on the book stand somewhere and want to read it but just can't remember the title nor the author, nor what it's all about but knows for sure, for sure that the cover of the book was Blue! ...
Goodnight June By: Sarah Jio When you were a child, stories were read to you in all forms. Now a days it's in the form of television and movies. But there was a time where adults used to READ to their children. Either it was to calm the child down, or just for pleasure. The child get to spend that time frame dreaming of knights in shining armor slaying dragons, saving queens. Or living in fairy tales and talking to animals. After the story ends, they either dream into that world, or not. It's just a bunch of stories. They are not real. So when they grow up to be adults, that's all they think of children's stories....false. Not real, no real honor behind children's books. Or is there? June Anderson is a successful professionally and living the dream. Only her dream doesn't quite reach into her personal life but for her she is okay with that.
