Veterans Day

Today we honor those who put their own lives at risk so that we can live in Freedom.  The Proud Men and Woman who enlisted in the Army, the Marines, the Navy or the Air Force or even the Coast Guard, chose to put their lives on the line so that any enemy, foreign and domestic that wants to do harm to our Nation will be stopped.  As they say:  "All gave some, Some gave All" and that is so true.  So many of our troops gave everything they had in them to fight the enemy, to secure our rights, and make sure that the People of America don't have to fight the enemy in their backyard and so many of our troops gave their lives for that right.

It's not an easy thing we have asked our men and woman.  So many times we didn't even know who who our enemy was and who are friends were but those brave men and woman were able to put their intelligence together and fight as one to make sure that the People of America live in Freedom.

It seems like at the beginning of time, we have been at war.  Brother on brother, tribes against tribes, religion against religion, power against power.  We (humans) have shed more blood than any other species.  Don't even try to figure out why...or the reasons therefore.  There are so many reasons why people do what they do, and many times in never makes sense.

But what does make sense is that we have people that are willing to fight what is right and to ensure that the Constitution and the People of the United States will be defended from foreign and domestic enemies.

Today the Shelby Library set up a display to show our support to our Veterans.
